Luis Servera
Luis Servera is an emerging filmmaker from The Bronx who has directed nationally broadcasted music videos and commercial content for brands such as Sony Pictures, Brand Jordan, Allstate and ESPN. His most notable work is We Are Worldwide Orphans, a Public Service Announcement produced by Sony Pictures in conjunction with Worldwide Orphans. The PSA features Hollywood actor and Worldwide Orphans ambassador, Andrew Garfield, and is shown exclusively on Sony Pictures' The Amazing Spiderman 2 DVD.
He has shot and directed numerous projects internationally, including Alma de Mi Padre, the first short thesis film from the award-winning non-profit, Ghetto Film School. The film was shot in Mexico City and was nationally broadcasted on IFC TV. Luis has also traveled to Cape Town, South Africa where he shot an episode of the the web travel series, The Open Series. The film was recently selected to this year's BAM's New Voices in Black Cinema.
With nearly 10 years of professional production experience and an honorary Alumni of the Sundance Ignite program, Luis is excited for the next level in his career with upcoming narrative and virtual reality projects, including his latest short film, High & Tight.
