The Motions
A film by Frank Donnangelo
Overworked and underslept, Mara is burdened with trying to take care of her terminally ill husband at home while maintaining the demands of her job as a paramedic.
One afternoon her husband presses the issue of helping him die, forcing Mara to confront and reconcile with losing and letting go of the person she loves most. Will today be the day she follows through with his request, one that will crystallize and define her life forever?

Director Statement
"The Motions" is about the importance of love in the ultimate sense, and it still existing in the most dire of circumstances. It's about the seemingly impossibility of letting go we sometimes experience in life, that feeling of helplessness and emotional weight. With this film, I wanted to explore the human truths of trying to gain control and accepting the lack thereof, of acceptance and letting go; asking the question if love can still exist in impossible situations, what does it take to let go?
