Sarah Wisner
Sarah Wisner is a writer living in Los Angeles, CA with her filmmaker husband and two very strange cats.
Her work is infused with her desire to illuminate the experiences and choices of characters living under structural oppressions, especially those relationships formed in the face of adversity.
Sarah's short films have been featured in numerous festivals and contests, including Independent Film Festival Boston (2015, ’16, ’17), Sidewalk Film Festival, Green Mountain Film Festival, and the First Glance short film contest. In 2011 she completed her undergraduate honors thesis at Smith College focusing on gender and colonialism in film adaptations of Jane Eyre. She went on to receive her MFA in Screenwriting from Boston University in 2016. Sarah was born and raised in Vermont and often dreams of trees.
