Anne Hollowday is an award-winning filmmaker and photographer based in NYC.

Directing commercials, branded content, documentaries and films. Her work is characterized by a bold and stylized aesthetic imbued with empathy for her characters and subjects.

Beginning her career as a journalist before moving into film, she is most passionate about creating work that celebrates and foregrounds the emotion inherent in everyday life. Her work has been celebrated throughout the industry, featured in the 2019 One Club One Screen Awards, the 2017 AICP Awards and at internationally renowned festivals such as SXSW, Atlanta, Frameline and more. She was also chosen as a New Director to watch in SHOOT Magazine's 13th Annual New Director's Showcase. Her recent work includes several global campaigns for Google as well as an award winning experimental film about the performance and perception of gender.

‘Common Structure’ was shot over the course of four days in the Catskills region, and all began with a “conversation about the sublime.” Both Anne and Bill “had a preoccupation with those moments where life feels so immersive, like time is somehow suspended and yet every detail is hyper magnified.
