Amiro Mo experiments with film as feeling, curious less about our differences than about the ways we are the same and enchanted with the world as it is but even more so with the world as it could be. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he is currently pursuing an MFA in writing and directing at NYU Tisch.
Grey Cusack
Grey lives in east side Los Angeles and hails from Boston. She is a 2016 MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and a James Bridges Scholar for Excellence in Directing.Her thesis film Kate & Lily (2016) has screened at the LA Shorts Fest, Lone Star Film Festival, USC First Look Film Festival (nominated for Best Comedy), and Geena Davis's Bentonville Film Festival (forthcoming).
Mia Fiona Kut
Mia Fiona Kut is an actress and filmmaker born in the rural suburb of Richmond, BC. Ever since her gender-bending role as ‘The Deranged Man’ in a 2nd grade play in which she also wrote, her passion for storytelling has fuelled her versatile abilities in acting; and all areas of filmmaking, including writing, directing, producing, and editing.
Chloé Aktas
Chloé Aktas is a Student Academy Award Nominated filmmaker and a recent graduate from the Kanbar Film and Television Institute at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts (2015). In 2016 Chloé's short film Mutt was a finalist for the 43rd Student Academy Awards. Out of over 1600 submissions, Mutt was chosen as one of seven finalists in the narrative category.
Emily Tomson
Emily Tomson’s background spans the arts and cultural studies. She studied Experimental Theatre at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts before getting her degree in cultural Anthropology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She has been directing and writing for film since 2013, focusing primarily on original narrative shorts and feature-length scripts.
Jennifer Sheridan
Jennifer Sheridan is a director, writer, and editor from South London, England. She has honed her skills as a storyteller through her work as an editor for the last ten years. Earning herself a reputation as a respected editor of comedy. As well as editing Rose d’Or winning & BAFTA nominated television, Jen has also cut a number of award-winning low-budget features and shorts.
Louis Morton
Louis is an animator and filmmaker living in Chicago, IL. His work has screened at festivals around the world including Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand, Annecy and Hiroshima International Animation Festival. He earned his MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2013.
Malik Isasis
Malik Isasis hails from Seattle, Washington, home of the richest man in the world. The son of a single mother, and absentee father, he found an escape from the crushing sameness and inner city blight of the late-80’s America through the films of Spike Lee. Inspired to become a rule-breaking filmmaker, he dedicated himself to learning the rules so that he might break them more fully and artistically.
